A visit to the graduate exhibition is always a surprising and exciting experience. A careful look at the exhibited works allows you to "feel" how much effort was invested in them, the many hours of work and the enormous amount of thought that went into each and every project. There really is a lot that can be learned from these new graduates who can see far into the future and who are gifted with such creativity...
The graduate exhibition of the School of Design in the Holon Institute of Technology (HIT) included works from three departments: Industrial Design, Visual Communications and Interior Design. The works of the Visual Communications and Interior Design graduates were exhibited in the faculty building and the works of the Industrial Design graduates were exhibited in the old workshop (replaced since with a new structure). The best works were exhibited in the Vitrina Gallery. The Industrial Design graduates drew on a varied number of topics for their inspiration, spanning diverse worlds: Futurism and science fiction, traditional ethnic design, ecology and social design. As in every year, there were also surprising developments and inventions in furniture, supports for the disabled, fashion accessories and of course- auto design accessories. There were also intriguing designs from the Visual Communications graduates- some print works and short films, some animation clips and some installation works that deal in the socio-political situation and other personal topics close to the student's heart.
